Abstract

The use of herbal medicine in healthcare has increased, with some extracts showing effectiveness for certain illnesses. Despite the public's misinformation, herbal remedies have potential hazards. More research is needed to determine if herbal treatments are more beneficial than harmful for specific ailments. The plant Caesalpinia pulcherrima, commonly used in India's traditional medical systems, has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer, and immunosuppressive properties. This article highlights the phytochemical and pharmacological features of the plant.
